StreetGames has been chosen by the World Heart Foundation to use our experience delivering Doorstep Sport - sport at the right time, in the right place, in the right style and for the right price - to launch a major summer activity campaign for 7-12 year olds.

FREE fun physical activities ranging from Zorb football, tennis, Tri-volle and dance to social activities including face painting, DJ workshops and giant games. The events are designed to remove the barrier of cost, so families can spend time together getting active in a fun and friendly environment.

There will be several festivals for children and their families, plus a social media campaign that everyone can join in with using #loveyourheart.

The next festival will be taking place: 11am – 5.00pm Sunday 23 August, Sports Fest Humberstone Gate West, Gallowtree Gate and the Clock Tower, Leicester.

The partnership and festivals are a ground breaking new way for StreetGames’ to continue its mission to change lives through sport and for the World Heart Federation’s promotion of healthy active lifestyles to prevent obesity and cardiovascular disease.

Paul Jarvis, Head of Sport & Health at StreetGames said, “Over the last few years StreetGames has commissioned research into “The Inactive Time Bomb” and is fully aware of the dangers of inactivity, not only the human cost for those living in disadvantaged communities but the economic cost as well. This campaign is great way to improve access and awareness of physical activity for those children and their families.”
